I went to Jack's Mannequin with some friends last weekend...
I loved every second of it.
Amazing singer.
Amazing piano player.
Amazing harmonica player.
Basically, he's amazing!

Let's not be too surprised my patriotic treat turned
out to be a disaster!

It tasted pretty good otherwise!

Besides the little mishap with the dessert, out holiday weekend was wonderful! We spent some time with the Muirbrook fam, endulging in chinese food and some fireworks! Avi even sported a matching headband with me! Isn't she a doll?

Saturday, we enjoyed the Oakley rodeo with some friends. Really, "rodeo-ing" is such a dangerous sport! I jumped out of my seat in fear someone's skull was about to become a pancake a few too many times.

And guess who sat in front of us?!? Elizabeth Smart! She's all grown up now and such a cute girl. Maybe I snuck a picture of her. After all, she is a celeb.

10-10-10

Sometimes I worry too much. Sometimes I think too much. Doesn't everyone? It's just kind of part of life I guess. But I let myself get carried away with worst-case scenarios more often than I wish I did.

Why am I blogging about this? Well, I read an article a few months ago that I need to remind myself about on days like today when my mind can't let something go.

Take that silly (or big) worry and ask yourself these three questions:

1- How will this affect me in 10 days?
2-How will this affect me in 10 months?
3-How will this affect me in 10 years?

New perspective, eh? Most of the time, my worry will be gone within the 10 days, let alone 10 months or years. So breath Karlee, everything is going to be just fine.

So, there's an little inspirational thought, more for myself than anyone else. Thanks for letting me vent!

Maybe I'm having anxiety because deep down, I'm missing Michael Jackson.
